Bloviating Zeppelin: Global Warming?

Bloviating Zeppelin

(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

Global Warming?

Really? That's why I've got the most snow this season than I've gotten since 1995 or 1996?

And yes, that's my car buried under the pile, from yesterday. It's gotten more on it today, but I couldn't take the photo because I had to shovel the snow off my deck. That activity took all day and kicked my living fat ass; there was around 5' - 6' of snow on the front deck. It runs right off the metal roof to the deck below (thanks, original home builder!). If I don't keep on top of the snow, it could either snap the deck or plunge into the tall windows.

It snowed again all day. I have about 5' on the ground, up to 7' or 8' in the open spots. I am one tired Jesse, particularly after having fought the stupid flu last week. Supposed to snow all day tomorrow (Patriots over the Giants, easy call, almost not worth watching until the very end when they clear their record), with some clearing on Monday.

Man. Ever feel like you just need some time to play "catch-up"?

We don't have several feet, but we have more than we've had in years. Maybe the natural warming trend that caused the left to freak out is starting to slow down.

I'll see your snow and raise ya a foot :-p
Hope you feel better soon and are able to enjoy the game.

You and China... save that there, it is 5% of their winter crop yield that is biting the dust, if not more. The worst snowstorms in a century for those getting the storms. Something that is an incovenience to an industrialized Nation giving China a realization that it *isn't one*. It will be interesting to see if they go for food... or oil imports.

Hope they have enough supplies laid in for the Olympics....

And since you've no place to go,
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Uh you do know this is why they changed it from "global warming" to "global climate change".

Anything to push their environmental jihad.

Good call on the game, except someone forgot to tell New England where it was being played!
BTW, we've had more snow here this winter than we've had in many years. Global warming my ass. Oh yeah, I forgot, they changed the name to "climate change".
Eco-bastards!

All: how SILLY of me to forget that ANY unforeseen CHANGE (damn, there's that political word again!) in the weather can be directly attributed to what you wish! I attribute it to LOW TEMPERATURES + PRECIPITATION = Snow. And not just "regular" snow; I mean the really NASTY, hard to shovel crap called "Sierra Cement" with the HUGE water content. And it's snowing again, I can't see my car!

BZ,
I think the weather thing is simple. It is just cyclical as the SANE meteorologists are saying. I remember 35 years ago when I was a kid that it snowed a lot like it is now in the midwest. I also remember how it changed as I got older, but it is back again.. Not good for you, but good for me because I want the kiddos to experience a lot of snow.

Heavy, wet snow... just like I grew up with in Buffalo! There were relatively dry snowstorms, those Athabasca Screamers would do that... but when its 'Lake effect snow' it means big, wet flakes. The difference between 2' dry snow and 2' of wet snow is getting soaked to the skin through pants, socks, long underwear and then getting wet and cold all over.

Great for snowballs!

The dry stuff takes a light shoveling, the wet stuff is backbreaking and treacherous.

Let us hope the Great Solar Snowplough works your way like it does in Denver: that place can't handle snow, either as they depend on Sol to do the clearing.

Wow. You think because you have more snow than usual the refutes Global Climate Change. LOL. You guys are awesome....thanks for giving me a nice laugh here at the end of the day. Good one!

Gotta say one thing though...you really shouldn't be listening to meterologists if you're trying to understand climate change. They don't exactly have all the facts. They look at weather...not climate. And they base their history on the last 100 years or so...which is just a blip, less than a blip...like .000001 of a blip. So they don't exactly have all the facts like ohhh, you know, an actual climatologist would have.

In case you're still oblivious, just because you have more snow doesn't mean the world climate is not warming. Pick up a book.
