Bloviating Zeppelin: The Weekend

Bloviating Zeppelin

(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

The Weekend

At the time that I'm entering this post, Thursday, I've not yet received my home computer back from the shop. Which means that, when I'm at my cabin this weekend, I may not be able to blog. This will yield, for me, massive spasms and neck tics -- Blogging Withdrawal, if you will.

On the off chance that I actually do not find my computer returned in fine repair and that I cannot access the internet via my speedy local dial-up, I've scheduled this post as an explanation. If you see additional posts, well, likely I'm a happier camper. If not -- heavy sigh -- I'll be back to the Blog World on Monday.

In the meantime, perhaps a larf?

BZ

I know the feeling and wish I didn't. I spend quite a bit of time at my brother's house and while I has a computer, I am a little uncomfortable using his to blog.

Can't wait for you to get back online BZ.

You're one of the only one that makes any sense.

Good luck.

A police adventure for you BZ...

1820hrs this date, NP213 was dispatched on a water rescue, car upside down under water, they were getting a storm surge off of IKE...

On the way to the call his old Impala took a dump, the brakes went away and he went hydroplaning into an 8' deep canal himself...

Made a proper underwater escape, saved his XD-45, lost ALL of his daily paperwork, all reports for the day AND his cell phone were his only personal losses...

He is supposed to get his brand new assigned take home Dodge Charger Monday AM anyway, the Sheriff arrived on scene and was only concerned with Trey, said he didn't give a damn about the car...

And turns out the overturned car in the bayou was a bogus call... Ain't that a hoot?

BZ,
You'll be back soon. No big deal, we will just wait for the next salient post. I have to admit I was wanting to hear what you had to say about the Gibson interview and hoping you would tell him off.

I could tell Palin was annoyed by him because I am SURE he came off as mr. nice and then when he interviewed her his snotty, condescending attitude came out.

When she said, "CHarlie" I think that was her way of expressing her annoyance since she couldn't tell him off. But anyway I thought of you and chuckled because I could see you giving it to him big time. ;0)

Hope ya get your 'puter back soon. I hate it when mine breaks.

Fred,
Couldn't your boy figure out an easier way to get the boss to assign him a new cruiser? glad to hear the XD is safe....

Shop, I bought a sandisk cruzer micro flashdrive wallyworld has on sale now that has software on it so you can load and operate a browser, import your bookmarks, even your settings and wallpaper. so you can use YOUR browser on any other computer. it's a bit slower than a browser directly installed, but it works, and it's portable, as it's the size of a keychain fob. cool, eh?

Rivka,

IMO, interviewers should ask tough questions of any candidate that may be a heart-beat away from becoming President, Charlie Gibson or not.

Make them squirm, make them feel uneasy and make them answer the hard questions.

As far as the Bush Doctrine, there’s no clear definition of the Bush Doctrine, it’s not written down anywhere. Everyone has a different definition of what it is; it’s not like The Monroe Doctrine.

You may not care for Charlie Gibson but obviously Sarah Palin does, she granted him her first interview. You’ll get the interview you’re looking for when Sean Hannity interviews her. Believe me, he’ll ask only questions that will make her sound great.

I want to see the tough side of these people, I want to see how they handle tough situations.
