NJ Governor Chris Christie: Test the TEACHERS

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie -- [man, how I wish we had him as Governator in Fornicalia] -- is on the move again with regard to education. From CBSNewYork:

OLD BRIDGE, N.J. (CBS 2) — Determined to turn New Jersey’s education system on its head, Gov. Chris Christie on Tuesday unveiled a tough-love reform package that will make classroom achievement — not seniority or tenure — the basis for pay hikes and career advancement in Garden State public schools.

Christie is turning his take-no-prisoner’s style to the classroom, demanding a top to bottom overhaul of how New Jersey students learn and teachers teach. And that means undoing tenure, seniority and other union work rules.

And further -- omigawd:

Unqualified teachers will feel the lash. The governor is demanding that teachers in kindergarten through fifth grade actually pass tests in reading and math in order to be certified.

“It might lead to the firing of teachers and principals who hurt our children,” Christie said.

The governor wants to turn the old seniority system inside out and put quality teaching ahead of lack-luster performance. He will:

* Prohibit salary scales based on seniority

* Grant raises based on classroom performance

* Give tenure based on classroom performance

The standard claptrap was spewed by teachers unions and representatives and such:

A spokesman for the New Jersey Education Association attacked the governor’s plan saying that once again he was “trying to implement education reform without any input from educators.”

You want to see how education ACTUALLY works in the Real World of Big Cities, at the hands of so-called "educators"? Watch season four of The Wire.

Mr Christie's bent on education can be viewed below, wherein he slaughters a well-meaning but completely unarmed-with-facts teacher:

Sounds to me like education is about to be shaken to its very core in New Jersey. I say: it's about time.

Please, Mr Christie, couldn't you run for governor in Fornicalia?

BZ

P.S.
Yeah, Christie's fat. BFD. GTFOI. Ideas trump avoirdupois.

P.P.S.
"Education" in America is a HUGE scam predicated upon the numbers of BIS (butts in seats). Plain and simple. We are corrupting our kids and corrupting our future. Other countries already know this. They cannot wait to push us aside and take the educational, inventive, intelligent lead. As many countries have already.

P.P.P.S:
The teachers' unions apparently responded and wished Christie dead -- allegedly only in jest:

Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake:

Sorry, no politics in this post:

Eastern Diamondback rattlesnakes customarily range from 3 to, at max, 6 feet in length.

Check out this unique specimen:

An accompanying article from News4 in Jacksonville, Florida indicates:

The trappers who caught and killed a giant rattlesnake in St. Johns County said the snake was 7 feet 3 inches long.Experts said it's one of the biggest rattlesnakes they've ever seen. The rattlesnake slithered its way into Tuscany Village, a St. Augustine townhouse community, over the weekend.

If that snake was 7'3" long, then I'm an M1 Abrams tank.

Look at the photos. An e-mail circulating around the internet (thanks, Chris!) states the snake was 15-feet long. I'm not so sure. But I'd posit the estimator was off by more than just a few feet.

Look at the thickness of the snake at its greatest point as compared to the deputy taking the photo in the top illustration. The snake appears to be roughly as thick as the thigh of the officer. The entire length of the snake is not seen in the top photograph -- and, as you can see, the snake is curved towards the bottom.

That snake is easily longer than the deputy in the top photograph. And not just by a foot or so. Further, the second photo doesn't even detail the full length of the creature. Fifteen feet? I don't think so. But it's clearly, in my opinion, longer than a mere seven feet.

One strike from that monster would kill a child in a matter of minutes, and kill an adult human. My guess is: you would not walk away from that snake's bite, no matter how much antivenin pumped into you. The head and, thusly, the venom glands are simply too big.

Another reason that, along with heat and humidity and hurricanes and rampant pythons: you can keep Florida. Thanks but no thanks.

I think the Jaguars have nice uniforms. Does that help?

Oakland Raider George Blanda: Passes At Age 83

God bless you sir.

You were the last of a Great Generation, not only in football but in history.

For those too young to know, George Blanda #16 was the Oakland Raider backup quarterback to Kenny "The Snake" Stabler and Daryle Lamonica in the 70s.

With this addendum point: Blanda served in not only the #2 QB position, but he was also the team's kicker. And well into his 40s. He played up to age 48. In fact, he served 26 years in the NFL -- completely unheard-of today! When at the QB position, he was sacked like everyone else. Yet he came back year after year after year -- when the rules were much less stringent for sacking and hitting, in a dual position!

From the Associated Press:

ALAMEDA, Calif. — George Blanda, the seemingly ageless Hall of Fame quarterback and kicker whose 26-year career was best remembered for a remarkable run of late-game theatrics with the Oakland Raiders, has died. He was 83.

The Raiders confirmed the death Monday and issued a statement saying "we are deeply saddened by the passing of the great George Blanda. George was a brave Raider and a close personal friend of Raiders owner Al Davis."

Blanda retired a month shy of his 49th birthday before the 1976 season, playing longer than anyone else in pro football history. He spent 10 seasons with the Chicago Bears, part of one with the Baltimore Colts, seven with the Houston Oilers and his final nine with the Raiders.

He scored 2,002 points in his career, a pro football record at the time of his retirement, kicking 335 field goals and 943 extra points, running for nine touchdowns and throwing for 236 more.

But it was a five-game stretch for Oakland in 1970 that is the lasting imprint from his career. As a 43-year-old, Blanda led the Raiders to four wins and one tie with late touchdown passes or field goals.

Later that season, he became the oldest quarterback to play in a championship game, throwing two touchdown passes and kicking a field goal in Oakland's 27-17 loss to Baltimore in the AFC title game. His performance that season earned him The Associated Press Male Athlete of the Year.

The dude, clearly, had balls made of steel.

Blanda was one of the new league's many prolific passers, throwing for 19,149 yards and 165 touchdowns in seven seasons for the Oilers. He was the AFL Player of the Year in 1961, holds AFL single-game passing record of 464 yards on Oct. 29, 1961, against Buffalo, and was chosen the league's all-time kicker.

Blanda called all the plays as was common back then, and further stepped out when kicks were required.

Blanda threw for 26,920 yards in his career and held the pro football record with 277 interceptions until Brett Favre passed him in 2007. He retired with the most points in history before the total was topped by several players in recent years.

"It certainly doesn't bother me," Blanda said about losing the scoring record. "The one record I was happy to get rid of was the one for the most interceptions, when Brett Favre got that one."

George Blanda was a gentleman's gentleman.

And embodied class upon class.

Some submit that 1976 contained the Greatest Raider Nation ever, as Blanda played with:

- John Madden as Coach;
- Ken Stabler as quarterback;
- Daryle Lamonica as quarterback;
- Fred Biletnikoff;
- Ben Davidson; too awesome and too bad;
- Jack Tatum at Safety (now passed);
- Center Jim Otto, 00;
- Linebacker Ted Hendricks - "The Stork"
- Art Shell on OT; (future coach twice)
- Gene Upshaw on guard; (and NFLPA president)
- John Matuszak on DL;
- Otis Sistrunk on DL;
- Phil Villapiano at LB;
- Willie Brown at CB;

God bless you, George Blanda.

You were the best that the Greatest Generation had to offer.

He played in his last game at Pittsburgh's Three Rivers Stadium on January 4, 1976, at age 48, in the 1975 AFC Championship Game, where he kicked a 41-yard field goal and made one extra point as the Raiders lost to the Steelers 16-10. Absolutely amazing.

My dad loved to watch you play because you were about his age and you refused to go down to injuries or age or events. He rooted for you because you were he and he was you. You took the fight back to the enemy and didn't make excuses or hold out for wages.

You have earned your rest.

You played longer than any other person in pro football history.

If no one else does, I honor you. Because I watched you play live. You gave Life your All.

Video In Public: If You're A Conservative You're An ACTIVIST And Therefore Properly Subject To Assault

John Kitzhaber, a Demorat candidate for governor of Oregon, attended a candidates' event on Thursday night, September 23rd in Portland -- at the Emmanuel Temple Church.

Apparently his devotee muscle, two black males in suit coats, don't much care for the First Amendment.

The article that I have linked in the prior sentence is penned by an individual, Jeff Mapes of The Oregonian, who writes:

The event at Emmanuel Temple Church in North Portland was sponsored by the Urban League and the African American Alliance and streamed live on KOIN TV's web site. Event organizers said they made it clear at the start of the event that only KOIN would be allowed to film the event.

A series of questions: was this a public event or a private event? Was attendance strictly limited and closed to the public, or was it open to the public? Were attendees to sign an contract, a LOA, a non-disclosure statement, a paper acknowledging a no-video policy? Was this policy posted publicly prior to any and all entrance points, and made clear in advance? Was money demanded for attendance? The creators of the video indicate the venue was public. I suspect that is true. To continue:

However, the edited video shows that the activist continued to tape the event after he had been told to stop. "I'm sorry, sir, this is my First Amendment right to film this event," the activist told one volunteer who asked him to stop. "I'm sorry, but I'm going to keep filming."

Words have meanings. Isn't it interesting how Mr Mapes terms someone with a video camera at a political event an "activist." So there you have it. Where Leftists and Demorats are concerned, you are an "activist" if you dare to video events in a public venue.

To Mr Mapes: what law or codicil was broken by filming the event? Give me a specific section, a body of law, sir, that the person who created the video is in violation thereof.

What might you think would have happened had the roles been reversed and a, say, "liberal" videographer attended a Republican event and the events unfolded as above?

I posit: fodder for Leftists for, at least, a few weeks -- splayed over the predominant DEM/MSM media over and over and over, wouldn't you suspect?

First Amendment? What First Amendment?

TEA Party Patriots: BETRAYED?

It appears the group, TEA Party Patriots, may have been betrayed.

Snakes and Patriots?

As with all good and effective betrayals, it appears to have come from within and not without.

Mark Williams, most excellent Sacramento radio talk show host for many years (see my sidebar blogroll under California Links) believes that the TEA Party Patriots have been sold out by Fornicalia attorney Mark Meckler.

Mr Williams is no stranger to controversy himself. He was instrumental in the April 15th, 2009 Sacramento TEA Party; he took on MSNBC's Dylan Ratigan (making Mr Ratigan appear quite the slow, thuddish dolt he is), and called Islam on its placement of a mosque adjacent the Ground Zero site. He was called racist. Overlooked was the fact that he was correct in his umbrage over the mosque. I supported him then and I support him now.

The problem with Mark Williams is that, like myself, he tends to be truthful and refuses to couch his words in euphemisms or PC buzzwords/ -phrases. He is as blunt as he is cutting-edge and insightful.

Now, new information seems to indicate that the TEA Party Patriots are being "sold" to an unidentified individual. For a million dollars. With the understanding that the Patriots' membership individual informational lists will be included.

From ResistNet.com:

As previously reported, national Tea Party Patriots (TPP) leader Mark Meckler has secured an anonymous “donor” to finance Meckler’s buyout of the organization in what amounts to a hostile take over. Meckler has said that the money will go to the TPP local chapters but in a MarkTalk.com exclusive I can now reveal that the money will only be given to local chapters that turn the names and personal information of their entire membership over to Mr. Meckler.

On its face -- given, not knowing all the miniscule details -- this transaction tends to stink in a remarkable fashion.

There are HUGE questions to be asked here.

And, of course, there is more to the story. I intend to find out what is happening here.

I am sending an e-mail to Mr Williams so that he may be able to explain the necessary chronology and the inferences and outcomes. On any level imaginable, this does not look, sound or feel proper, moral or ethical.

Again, at first blush, it appears the TEA Party Patriots' organization has been hijacked by an individual with ties to the Left and with possession of a massive amount of personal information which could be provided, at leisure, to concerns directly opposite those of persons who signed up for the organization at its outset.

In two words: potential betrayal. Or as convoluted as Charles Lutwidge Dodgson?

More to come.

Bill Ayers: DENIED Emeritus Status at University of Illinois

This may not seem much to you and me, but being denied a "professor emeritus" status at a university, when you taught there for many years, is a huge, a massive slap in the face for the person so denied.

And as it is with William "Weather Underground" Ayers. So denied.

Oddly enough, it is from the son of Robert Kennedy -- the Kennedy clan being of historically liberal bent -- where said denial sourced.

From the Chicago Tribune:

In a very unusual move, University of Illinois trustees Thursday denied giving emeritus status to controversial retired professor William Ayers.

The vote, at a U. of I. board meeting in Urbana, was unanimous and came after a passionate speech by board chair Christopher Kennedy, who invoked the 1968 assassination of his father, Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, in saying that he was voting his conscience.

The other trustees, without comment, also voted against the appointment.

What was it, perhaps, that seemed to convince the trustees to vote against William Ayers?

The information I shall now reveal is not revealed or directly sourced in our DEM. Christopher Kennedy, the son of Robert Kennedy, and U.I.C. board chair, wrote:

I am guided by my conscience and one which has been formed by a series of experiences, many of which have been shared with the people of our country and mark each of us in a profound way.

My own history is not a secret.

My life experiences inform my decision making as a trustee of the University.

In this case of emeritus status, I hope that I will act in a predictable fashion and that the people of Illinois and the faculty and staff of this great institution will understand my motives and my reasoning.

I intend to vote against conferring the honorific title of our University to a man whose body of work includes a book dedicated in part to the man who murdered my father, Robert F.Kennedy.

There is nothing more antithetical to the hopes for a university that is lively and yet civil, or to the hopes of our founding fathers for their great experiment of a self-governing people, than to permanently seal off debate with one’s opponents by killing them.

There can be no place in a democracy to celebrate political assassinations or to honor those who do so.

We are citizen trustees whose judgments should be predictable to the community that we serve, and I would ask anyone who challenges my judgment, “How could I do anything else?”

Seldom do I make such coarse judgments or statements, but I care to make one now because it is so astoundingly warranted:

Fuck you, William Ayers, you besotted Leftist bastard. This is your past, finally, just a tad bit, catching up to you.

Fuck you with a white-hot piece of rebar up your professorial non-emeritus ass.

P.S.
But, of course, this is only my opinion.

T-Mobile: Control Over the First Amendment

From Wired.com:

T-Mobile told a federal judge Wednesday it may pick and choose which text messages to deliver on its network in a case weighing whether wireless carriers have the same “must carry” obligations as wire-line telephone providers.

The Bellevue, Washington-based wireless service is being sued by a texting service claiming T-Mobile stopped servicing its “short code” clients after it signed up a California medical marijuana dispensary. In a court filing, T-Mobile said it had the right to pre-approve EZ Texting’s clientele, which it said the New York-based texting service failed to submit for approval.

EZ Texting offers a short code service, which works like this: A church could send its schedule to a cell phone user who texted “CHURCH” to 313131. Mobile phone users only receive text messages from EZ Texting’s customers upon request. Each of its clients gets their own special word.

T-Mobile, the company wrote in a filing (.pdf) in New York federal court, “has discretion to require pre-approval for any short-code marketing campaigns run on its network, and to enforce its guidelines by terminating programs for which a content provider failed to obtain the necessary approval.”

Such approval is necessary, T-Mobile added, “to protect the carrier and its customers from potentially illegal, fraudulent, or offensive marketing campaigns conducted on its network.”

It’s the first federal case testing whether wireless providers may block text messages they don’t like.

Hello.

Heads-up.

An American Professor Puts America In Her Place:

An American academic celebrates 9/11.

I would care for, in reflection, your reactions to this revelation:

Block-I chant portrays ‘neither patriotism nor remembrance’

David Green, University Academic Professional
September 15th, 2010 - 10:29 PM
September 20th, 2010 - 9:51 AM

The vast majority of 9/11 observances in this country cannot be seen as politically neutral events. Implicit in their nature are the notions that lives lost at the World Trade Center are more valuable than lives lost in Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine and elsewhere; that the motives of the 9/11 attackers had nothing to do with genuine grievances in the Islamic world regarding American imperialism; and that the U.S. has been justified in the subsequent killing of hundreds of thousands in so-called retaliation.

The observance at Saturday’s football game was no different. A moment of silence was followed by a military airplane flyover; in between, Block-I students chanted “USA, USA.” This was neither patriotism nor remembrance in any justifiable sense, but politicization, militarism, propaganda and bellicosity. The University is a public institution that encompasses the political views of all, not just the most (falsely) “patriotic.” Athletic planners should cease such exploitation for political purposes. They might at least consider how most Muslim students, American or otherwise, would respond to this nativist display; or better, Muslims and others that live their lives under the threat of our planes, drones and soldiers.

The overwhelmingly white, privileged, Block-I students should be ashamed of their obnoxious, fake-macho, chicken-hawk chant, while poverty-drafted members of their cohort fight and die in illegal and immoral wars for the control of oil. University administrators need to eliminate from all events such “patriotic” observances, which in this country cannot be separated from implicit justifications for state-sponsored killing.

David Green,

University Academic Professional

This is one of a myriad of American university professors who are purposely and stridently influencing the next generation of Americans. Your children.

This is your future, America. This man and those like him are creating the next generation of leaders and decision-makers.

Sorry it took me a few days to find this.

Please weigh in, with comments.

BZ

P.S.
Apparently this professor was on the Michael Medved show on Wednesday the 22nd, and came across as remarkably arrogant, vituperative, hostile, interrupting frequently. Not necessarily a major shock, I would submit.

Weasel Zippers covered the event here, and one commenter wrote:

Gort says:

The young, pot-smoking, campus-trashing, flag-burning, religion-mocking, Mao-worshiping rebels of the 1960s and 1970s became gray-haired professors. They taught our current generation − including our president and many of those who voted for him − to remain childish narcissists all their lives. Childish narcissists may vent their anger and frustration at Daddy. But in the end, they expect him to provide them with “everything.” Regrettably, this is now what passes for liberalism. Leftists are the lowest form of life in the universe. Even bacteria have a useful purpose. Leftists are nothing but a blight. Now is the time to ridicule Liberals as failed humans. Look at them as bio-fuel.

Finally:
If you would like to extend your considered and thoughtful views to University Academic Professional Dr David Green, his e-mail address is: davegreen84@yahoo.com. Use multi-syllabic words over four-letter words, pretty please. Jejune would be a good word in which to start or base your missive.

Obama: Rewriting History Whilst Pandering For Votes -- Acts Of Desperation With November In Mind

Playing to Mexican voters whilst addressing the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, Barack Hussein Obama said:

Mr Obama acts as though history never existed. He and many of his ilk have what I term "Historical Alzheimers"; that is, they rewrite history whenever it is convenient for their speeches or their bills -- and are primarily not held to answer because the bulk of Americans and, of course, the massive bulk of journalistas are ignorant, purposely or otherwise, of actual history.

History, like many things with the Left, can be rather INconvenient because, if you check, the conglomerate to be known as Mexico declared its independence from Spain on September 16th of 1810. Mexico was officially recognized as its own sovereign nation on September 27th of 1821.

Again, inconveniently, America declared its independence in 1776. Just a few -- ahem -- years prior. This is incompetent pablum for the ignorant masses.

Mr Obama and his minions fervently believe and hope that you are that stupid.

Obama Weighs New Ads Castigating The GOP As TEA Party Extremists:

From the New York Times:

WASHINGTON — President Obama’s political advisers, looking for ways to help Democrats and alter the course of the midterm elections in the final weeks, are considering a national advertising campaign that would cast the Republican Party as all but taken over by Tea Party extremists, people involved in the discussion said.

Sad to say at this point, but admittedly the GOP is not saturated with TEA Party "extremists." Instead, it is predominantly populated with self-serving, arrogant, full-time politicians who exist to make mouth music and physically accomplish as little as possible, whilst sounding like they're more to the Right than just Rudder Amidships.

Their main desire: raise money, stash cash, keep themselves elected so they can stay in the job that will sustain them in style, money and power to the end of their days.

Those salient little facts -- and many more -- are recognized and exposed by the TEA Party, which is why many Republicans are not too terribly enthralled with members of various TEA Party factions, encountered individually or in groups.

That is among a range of options and plans under consideration at the White House for energizing dispirited Democratic voters over the coming six weeks, in hopes of limiting the party’s losses and keeping control of the House and Senate. Democratic strategists are seeing new openings to exploit after a string of Tea Party successes split Republicans and culminated last week with developments that scrambled Senate races in Delaware and Alaska.

Translated: not only are the Demorats running a tad scared, but so are career do-nothing Republicans. To the GOP from Conservatives and TEA Party members: what have you actually done for us lately?

We need to get out the message that it’s now really dangerous to re-empower the Republican Party because the people who have taken over the party are radical,” said one Democratic strategist who has spoken with White House advisers but requested anonymity to discuss private strategy talks.

And here is why you, as a Conservative or a TEA Party member, are branded a radical:

- You believe in the US Constitution pretty much as it was written, pretty much word-for-word; you believe it isn't a Living Document and, instead, it is best left alone.
- You believe in the First Amendment with regard to Freedom of Speech;

- You believe in the Second Amendment with regard to your ability to keep and maintain weapons for personal defense;

- You believe in a SCOTUS that utilizes the Constitution as the foundational document from which your opinions should be based, instead of acting as an adjunct Legislative branch;
- You believe in the strength of the individual, encompassing less government, greater freedom and responsibility;

- You believe in a strong American military, American sovereignty and independence from globalist influences;

- You believe in less spending and the Prime Theory of Economics:
never spend more than your revenue allows;

Yes friends, as you can clearly see, each of those bullet points -- just a few off the top of my balding, scabby little head -- make you a radical. A Radical, I tell you!

To which I submit: then we need more of these radicals.

Perhaps we'll get them, come November.

Remember: do not fail to vote ALL Demorats and Leftists OUT. Out, I say!

And while we're at it, let's clean the Republican house as well, eh?

Pressure & Reality: Starting to Work on the Demorats?

Reality and pressure may be starting to set in with, at least, a handful of Demorats.

From CNN Politics, of all places:

Washington (CNN) – Thirty-one House Democrats, most of whom face tough re-election bids this fall, have signed a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer urging them to extend expiring tax breaks for all income levels, including the wealthy.

And another little salient but ignored tidbit from Politico.com:

Democratic candidates are spending three times more advertising against the health reform law than they are in support of it.

Since the beginning of Congress’s August recess, Democratic candidates have poured $930,000 into ads deriding the health overhaul but just $300,000 in pro-reform spots, according to Evan Tracey at Kantar Media.

One Demorat House candidate in Tennessee is actually asking Speaker Pelosi to step down for the "good of the order":

Democratic District 6 Congressional candidate Brett Carter is asking U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi to step aside for the good of Democratic candidates.

Again, pressure and reality starting to get in the way?

Carter, in an announcement made in Nashville on Thursday morning, said he sent a letter to Pelosi requesting her to step aside.

“I think it is incumbent on Speaker Pelosi to step aside,” Carter said.

Citing a report in the Murfreesboro Daily News Journal, where Carter was described to have an albatross around his neck in the form of Pelosi, said the divisiveness she generates hamstrings his and other Democratic candidates’ abilities to focus on the issues.

“I don’t believe my situation is unique,” Carter said.

If elected, Carter said he would not cast his vote for Nancy Pelosi to be speaker.

This is a perfect juxtaposition for Conservatives.

An even bigger opportunity for Republicans.

Will they take advantage of it?

Hey, whilst you're at it, why not "suggest" a nice caption on the top photograph, eh?

Bill Clinton: New-look GOP makes Bush look liberal

Here's one major difference between Leftists and Conservatives:

Leftists and Liberals and Demorats won't "own it."

Conservatives will.

Yahoo News via the AP recently featured an article entitled "Bill Clinton: New-look GOP makes Bush look liberal."

Clinton, speaking at a Democratic fundraiser in Minneapolis, said there was no mistaking that Republicans have tacked hard right and questioned whether former President George W. Bush would fit in among the party's candidates this year.

"A lot of their candidates today, they make him look like a liberal," Clinton told an enthusiastic crowd at a downtown hotel as he campaigned for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mark Dayton.

Clinton pointed to the tea party movement's influence on the GOP.

"The Boston Tea Party was protesting abuse of power. This is now trading public power for the abuse of private power," Clinton said, just as a tea party-backed candidate was declared the winner Tuesday night in Delaware's hotly contested Republican primary for U.S. Senate.

In response, I say this: Yes. I will Own It.

Because I concur:

Former President Bush was, in many ways, too liberal for myself and other Conservatives. Just off the top of my head, he was too much the Globalist, way too much the Spender, too much the Illegal Immigrant Embracer, pissed away billions of hard-earned American taxpayer dollars on AIDS in Africa (when those dollars went solely into the pockets of black tinpot dictators), and actually considered turning our ports over to foreign entities.

That said, I'd amend Mr Clinton's allegation by writing this:

It's not the Republican Party that's embracing "ideology over evidence." It's Conservatives that are doing so, and the GOP is not liking this one bit. My donations to the RNC are over, and have been moribund for over two years. There are too many Demorats in the party posting the letter (R) after their names.

I send money, now, directly to those Conservative candidates I personally support. I delete the "middle man." Michael Steele's antics and those of the RNC taught me well. I recently donated four-figure checks to three upcoming Conservative candidates. I eliminated the GOP completely.

Yes, the RNC and Michael Steele taught me well.

Moreover, those RINOs with the (R) after their names taught me well.

Conservatives: SHOW UP in November and POUND THE POLLS with your votes AGAINST Demorats. SHATTER the grip the Demorats have over the House and Senate.

Mr Obama? You are NEXT, sir.

Vote For US Defense? -- You Vote For Amnesty

The obsequious Harry Reid is once again doing his political job --

But you have to be awake and aware to understand it:

From CNN.com:

Washington (CNN) - Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Tuesday he will add the DREAM Act, a controversial immigration measure, to a defense policy bill the Senate will take up next week.

The decision means the defense bill, which often passes with bipartisan support, will be home to two major, thorny political issues – the other being the repeal of the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy.

Reid called the DREAM Act "really important" and said it should be passed because it provides a path to citizenship for young illegal immigrants who go to college or serve in the military. DREAM is an acronym for Development, Relief and Education of Alien Minors Act.

"I know we can't do comprehensive immigration reform," Reid said at a news conference. "But those Republicans we had in the last Congress have left us."

Many Hispanic voters are angry with Democratic leaders for not doing more to pass an immigration overhaul. The decision by Reid to add the DREAM Act now could help soothe that anger.

Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell called Reid's decision "needlessly controversial."

The Senate will need 60 votes to take up the bill next week, and Reid said Tuesday he doesn't know if he has enough votes.

Heads UP, America:

The Demorats will SCREW you at every turn.

This brings me back to a few Basics upon which I insist in an ideal political future:

1. Truth In Bills:
There is only one topic per bill. There shall be no riders in any bills.

2. Truth In Funding:
When bills indicate a funding source or a repository, those sources or repositories can ONLY be used for the individual bill or source point.

3. Tort Reform:
Remarkably simple for major reform: all losers pay. They shall pay all court costs and attorney fees. For both sides.

4. No Exemptions:
Bills passed federally apply not only to the population of the United States, but to every person in politics. There shall be NO exemptions for anyone -- in the House, Senate, SCOTUS --on any level, in any state.

5. Truth In Donations:
The greatest amount that any political candidate may acquire in any campaign shall be limited to $1,000. That includes individual donors, agencies, entities or corporations. Jerry Brown actually had ONE good idea in his shallow life.

And that's just a start.

Honest: NO.

Leadership: NO.

Open: NO.

Oppressive Government: YES.

Obama & Fornicalia: Both Virulently ANTI-Business

Both Mr Obama and the entire state of Fornicalia are venomously anti-business.

Illogically, and to their own clear detriment.

Fornicalia is already massively hemorrhaging businesses (as I wrote here.)

Here, Dinesh D'Souza completely encapsulizes our president in "How Obama Thinks."

Please read the entire article for its full flavor; I reproduce only certain evaluated salient sections here for you, my dearest readers:

Barack Obama is the most antibusiness president in a generation, perhaps in American history. Thanks to him the era of big government is back. Obama runs up taxpayer debt not in the billions but in the trillions. He has expanded the federal government's control over home mortgages, investment banking, health care, autos and energy. The Weekly Standard summarizes Obama's approach as omnipotence at home, impotence abroad.

The President's actions are so bizarre that they mystify his critics and supporters alike. Consider this headline from the Aug. 18, 2009 issue of the Wall Street Journal: "Obama Underwrites Offshore Drilling." Did you read that correctly? You did. The Administration supports offshore drilling--but drilling off the shores of Brazil. With Obama's backing, the U.S. Export-Import Bank offered $2 billion in loans and guarantees to Brazil's state-owned oil company Petrobras to finance exploration in the Santos Basin near Rio de Janeiro--not so the oil ends up in the U.S. He is funding Brazilian exploration so that the oil can stay in Brazil.

I already wrote about that here on my blog, August of last year. Mr Obama doesn't care about killing little brown people with petroleum; just not our little brown people. To continue:
The oddities go on and on. Obama's Administration has declared that even banks that want to repay their bailout money may be refused permission to do so. Only after the Obama team cleared a bank through the Fed's "stress test" was it eligible to give taxpayers their money back. Even then, declared Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, the Administration might force banks to keep the money.

The President continues to push for stimulus even though hundreds of billions of dollars in such funds seem to have done little. The unemployment rate when Obama took office in January 2009 was 7.7%; now it is 9.5%. Yet he wants to spend even more and is determined to foist the entire bill on Americans making $250,000 a year or more.

The rich, Obama insists, aren't paying their "fair share." This by itself seems odd given that the top 1% of Americans pay 40% of all federal income taxes; the next 9% of income earners pay another 30%. So the top 10% pays 70% of the taxes; the bottom 40% pays close to nothing. This does indeed seem unfair--to the rich.

Consider: because the government itself produces no wealth -- wait for it, wait for it -- isn't it the wealthy who actually produce wealth? [sound of hand slapping forehead] Let us continue:
The real problem with Obama is worse--much worse. But we have been blinded to his real agenda because, across the political spectrum, we all seek to fit him into some version of American history. In the process, we ignore Obama's own history. Here is a man who spent his formative years--the first 17 years of his life--off the American mainland, in Hawaii, Indonesia and Pakistan, with multiple subsequent journeys to Africa.

A good way to discern what motivates Obama is to ask a simple question: What is his dream? Is it the American dream? Is it Martin Luther King's dream? Or something else?

It is certainly not the American dream as conceived by the founders. They believed the nation was a "new order for the ages." A half-century later Alexis de Tocqueville wrote of America as creating "a distinct species of mankind." This is known as American exceptionalism. But when asked at a 2009 press conference whether he believed in this ideal, Obama said no. America, he suggested, is no more unique or exceptional than Britain or Greece or any other country.

Perhaps, then, Obama shares Martin Luther King's dream of a color-blind society. The President has benefited from that dream; he campaigned as a nonracial candidate, and many Americans voted for him because he represents the color-blind ideal. Even so, King's dream is not Obama's: The President never champions the idea of color-blindness or race-neutrality. This inaction is not merely tactical; the race issue simply isn't what drives Obama.

What then is Obama's dream? We don't have to speculate because the President tells us himself in his autobiography, Dreams from My Father. According to Obama, his dream is his father's dream. Notice that his title is not Dreams of My Father but rather Dreams from My Father. Obama isn't writing about his father's dreams; he is writing about the dreams he received from his father.

Perhaps we need to insert a rather important Obama Sr quote about this point:
As he put it, "We need to eliminate power structures that have been built through excessive accumulation so that not only a few individuals shall control a vast magnitude of resources as is the case now." The senior Obama proposed that the state confiscate private land and raise taxes with no upper limit. In fact, he insisted that "theoretically there is nothing that can stop the government from taxing 100% of income so long as the people get benefits from the government commensurate with their income which is taxed."

Obama Sr. was an economist, and in 1965 he published an article in the East Africa Journal called "Problems Facing Our Socialism" -- an article his son never forgot.

This is the foundation upon which our current president predicates his actions.

D'Souza refreshingly sums it up here:
It may seem incredible to suggest that the anticolonial ideology of Barack Obama Sr. is espoused by his son, the President of the United States. That is what I am saying. From a very young age and through his formative years, Obama learned to see America as a force for global domination and destruction. He came to view America's military as an instrument of neocolonial occupation. He adopted his father's position that capitalism and free markets are code words for economic plunder. Obama grew to perceive the rich as an oppressive class, a kind of neocolonial power within America. In his worldview, profits are a measure of how effectively you have ripped off the rest of society, and America's power in the world is a measure of how selfishly it consumes the globe's resources and how ruthlessly it bullies and dominates the rest of the planet.

For Obama, the solutions are simple. He must work to wring the neocolonialism out of America and the West. And here is where our anticolonial understanding of Obama really takes off, because it provides a vital key to explaining not only his major policy actions but also the little details that no other theory can adequately account for.

Why support oil drilling off the coast of Brazil but not in America? Obama believes that the West uses a disproportionate share of the world's energy resources, so he wantshat he can maintain his control. For Obama, health insurance companies on their own are oppressive racketeers, but once they submitted to federal oversight he was happy to do business with them. He even promised them expanded business as a result of his law forcing every American to buy health insurance.

If Obama shares his father's anticolonial crusade, that would explain why he wants people who are already paying close to 50% of their income in overall taxes to pay even more. The anticolonialist believes that since the rich have prospered at the expense of others, their wealth doesn't really belong to them; therefore whatever can be extracted from them is automatically just. Recall what Obama Sr. said in his 1965 paper: There is no tax rate too high, and even a 100% rate is justified under certain circumstances.

Obama supports the Ground Zero mosque because to him 9/11 is the event that unleashed the American bogey and pushed us into Iraq and Afghanistan. He views some of the Muslims who are fighting against America abroad as resisters of U.S. imperialism. Certainly that is the way the Lockerbie bomber Abdel Baset al-Megrahi portrayed himself at his trial. Obama's perception of him as an anticolonial resister would explain why he gave tacit approval for this murderer of hundreds of Americans to be released from captivity.

I suggest that Mr Dinesh D'Souza may have tapped into the Ultimate Vein of our current DC administration via Barack Hussein Obama.

Those of us in a Conservative bent may distill this down to Socialism, Leftism, Saul Alinsky and others. Perhaps Mr D'Souza is correct when he distills Obama's predilections down to something as base as this:

His father.

Dinesh D/Souza's final line in the article:
America today is governed by a ghost.

A ghost.

But a horribly stilted, closeted, shielded, historically inaccurate ghost.

And so goes our nation currently.
With all thy getting, get understanding."
-- Malcolm Forbes' favorite quote

Let's Larf At Nance:

He really doesn't have much of a chance against Nancy Pelosi, but I enjoyed the entertainment value provided by the new video of Congressional challenger John Dennis:

That said, Pelosi's district -- San Francisco -- is [no shock, eh?] brain-glazingly Leftist and her job approval -- again, in SF only -- hovers at 50%. There are roughly 10% to 13% registered Republicans in the 8th District, Pelosi having been "affixed" since 1988. In 2008, if you recall, the illustrious Cindy Sheehan ran against the NanceMeister, with N-Pel still grabbing 72% of the vote.

Here's a clue as to the Safety Factor of Pelosi's 8th District seat: the GOP hasn't been able to install one candidate there since the first half of the 1900s.

Some good things about Mr Dennis, should you live in the 8th and Care To DareCon:

He advocates cutting federal spending, abolition of the Departments of Education, Commerce & Agriculture, doing away with capital gains taxes, cutting income tax and demanding a surplus in the federal budget.

Good luck with that, John. San Francisco is a shockingly-expensive market in which to run.

Still, nice video.

Sunday Flight

Chris recently sent me the link to this video -- a wonderful video and an incredible testament to our dwindling Greatest Generation.

It made me remember my father and the sacrifices he and his generation made to secure the future that we are living now.

Can you imagine what they think of what is currently happening to the country they loved and died for?

September 11th of 2001:

Is a day that will truly live in infamy.

I have only one response to proffer here at my rather opinionated blog:

1. Islam IS as Islam DOES.

I don't think I can make my thoughts clearer than this, on the ninth anniversary of 9/11.

Ah Islam, the Religion of Peace and Tolerance:

After all, the Muslim woman who killed two co-workers and critically injured a third at the Kraft plant in Northeast Philadelphia this Friday the 10th was typified as "very spiritual:"

She's not a loose cannon. She's a hard worker, works very hard. She's very spiritual."

Except for the niggling little fact that she had just been suspended and escorted from the building on Friday, September 10th. That, of course, certainly justifies coming back with a .357 magnum and opening fire upon your fellow workers.

From the story:
The reason Hiller was suspended had not been made public Friday afternoon and while some co-workers said she had a history of run-ins with other workers and management, Dorsey said like anyone, they sometimes had their differences, but always got along.

"We talked about her Muslim faith and I wished her happy Ramadan," Dorsey said. "I might be wrong, but my guess is she had some people that she had issues with and a personal agenda, a score she had to settle."

So, of course, like any good Muslim you tend to settle your scores with -- wait for it -- a .357 revolver.

Silvertips? JHP? AP? Ranger? Black Talon? Doesn't say.

She's a killer. But hey, she's at least "spiritual" with regard to Islam.

Trust me: the writer of this article, Karen Araiza, is about to be disciplined for her negative usage of Islam in the story by her management staff.

Because, after all, Muslims don't burn bibles and desecrate Christian crosses, do they?
After defeating their rivals in Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah movement, Muslim extremists are focusing their attacks on Christians in Gaza City. Christians in Gaza City have issued an appeal to the international community and a plea for protection against the increased attacks by Muslim extremists.

Gunmen used the roof of the school during the fighting, and the convent was "desecrated," Mussalem told the AP.

"Nothing happens by mistake these days," he said.

Father Musalam additionally told The Jerusalem Post that the Muslim gunmen used rocket-propeled grenades (RPGs) to blow through the doors of the church and school, before burning Bibles and destroying every cross they could get their hands on.

Nah. Can't be Muslims.

Ah, Islam: the religion of Peace and Tolerance.

Obama: Created the GREATEST American Debt In HISTORY

Obama Added More to National Debt in First 19 Months Than All Presidents from Washington Through Reagan Combined, Says Gov’t Data
Wednesday, September 08, 2010
By Terence P. Jeffrey, Editor-in-Chief

(CNSNews.com) - In the first 19 months of the Obama administration, the federal debt held by the public increased by $2.5260 trillion, which is more than the cumulative total of the national debt held by the public that was amassed by all U.S. presidents from George Washington through Ronald Reagan.

I suspect this says it all.

It certainly does for me.

For those who voted for this simpleton -- to include my nephew and two nieces (if you actually took the time to vote) -- because you are young and easily swayed by emotions -- may you actually reap what you have sown. And thusly it shall be.

To my nephew and two nieces: you have NO idea what you have installed and the kind of debt to which you have committed yourselves. Further, you possess the incorrect melanin to become favored in your future. You will be perceived to be the favored and coddled minority.

Because you were.

Your futures are in, at best, disrepair. At worst, they are shattered. Your lives will be broken once your parents' cash is spent. And it is oh-so-limited in being shared between three. Your parents' estate will be taxed, minimum, at 55% + beginning in 2011. Too bad your parents didn't pass away in 2010.

You voted for your future to be decimated. Here come the 2011 tax increases. To start.

Good luck with that Hope and Change.

Welcome to The Usual Suspects:

I haven't done this for some time, but I'd like to introduce a new blog to my The Usual Suspects blogroll.

Please visit The Born Again Americans.

Having commented on my prior post, I ventured to their site and found it well designed, with an intriguing hook: it's written by two brothers, named (L) and (P). (P) happens to be in a wheelchair; here is why. He took a long dive into shallow water; metaphorically, haven't we all done so at least a few times in our lives?

As a matter of fact, they recommended me to their post about this following video regarding Islam:

We appear to be a like-minded group.

Please visit The Born Again Americans in my The Usual Suspects blogroll.

And, of course, please visit each and every member of my rather selective and discriminating blogroll. You'll find here, at the Bloviating Zeppelin, that my blogroll doesn't scroll on and on and on. I place you because I actually read you and believe in you.

Inculcating Islam: Hartford, Connecticut

The Hartford, Connecticut City Council has decided on its own to begin each and every council meeting with Islamic prayers in sympathy with downtrodden and repressed Muslims everywhere because, after all, Islam in general has been such a progressive, understanding, tolerant, accepting and non-violent religion in its entire historical length.

From NBCConnecticut.com:

The (Hartford City) Council announced Tuesday that it has invited local (Muslim) imams to perform Islamic invocations at the beginning of the Council meetings in September.

Though meetings don't regularly begin with any form of prayer, an email from the Common Council called it "an act of solidarity with our Muslim brothers and sisters."

The email even referenced the ongoing issue in New York. "One of the goals of the Council is to give a voice to the many diverse peoples of the City, which is especially important given the recent anti-Islam events throughout the country."

Council President rJo Winch called it an important move for the Council. "I feel it is very important that, as a Council, we project a culture of inclusiveness in the City of Hartford. Too often it is our differences that divide us. In my opinion, it is our combination of differences that makes us strong," Winch said.

Let me take one frigging guess: the makeup of the Hartford City Council is predominantly and massively liberal, with Leftist leanings despite the "letter" after their voting ticket. Not such an amazing leap to make.

I submit that these are predominantly ignorant, arrogant, isolated, insular and, truly, undereducated liberals. My guess is that none of them have a son or daughter involved in the military. My guess is that none of them have a son or daughter that is in law enforcement. Few if any of them have any "skin in the game" in terms of currently defending their country. If any have a "military" past it would be during a chunk of peacetime because -- after all -- they wouldn't have been demanded to serve in combat.

The Hartford City Council is here.

You, the Hartford City Council, are such Useful Dupes for Islam.

You might want to check out the words dhimmi and taqiyya.
